Overview:

Hired by the esteemed Paseo Nuevo as the official photographer and videographer for a large city-wide Spanish cultural event. My primary responsibilities included capturing the vibrant flamenco and traditional Spanish dances performed on the mall's temporary stage, creating engaging social media content, and documenting the event’s lively atmosphere from both ground level and aerial perspectives using my DJI Mini 3 Pro drone. Videos were captured in rec709 on the Sony FX3 with photos captured simultaneously by the Sony a7c.

Contributions:

• Client Collaboration: Collaborated closely with the event coordinator and social media team to understand their vision, identify content focus points, and develop a comprehensive shot list. Provided routine updates throughout the event to ensure alignment with the client’s expectations.

• Talent Scouting & Direction: Utilized local community connections to identify and invite participants to feature in key moments of the event. Directed everyday attendees to become captivating subjects, enhancing the authenticity and energy of the captured moments.

• Strategic Planning: Suggested schedule changes to optimize lighting and composition, ensuring that the final images and videos were visually striking and met the highest quality standards.

• Content Creation & Delivery: Hand-selected, edited, and trimmed the best photos and video clips post-event, ensuring they were ready-to-use for the client's social media and web platforms. Curated deliverables to perfectly encapsulate the spirit of the event and meet the client’s content needs.

My approach to this project was marked by clear, friendly communication and a commitment to understanding the client’s vision, but not without having a ton of fun along the way! My focused yet relaxed and welcoming attitude translated into capturing authentic, emotionally captivating moments.

This project not only showcases my technical skills in photography and videography but also highlights my ability to capture the love and joy that permeated the event. Through thoughtful direction and a keen eye for authentic moments, I documented the vibrant energy, ensuring the final content radiated with the warmth and happiness that made the event unforgettable.
